What does a Graphic Designer Really Do?
It’s not uncommon for clients to arrive in our web design office in Williamstown with an unspoken assumption that all we do is make things look good. That’s certainly part of our mission, but did you know that a graphic designer is likely to have studied communication, sociology and the work of Socrates, as well as being skilled in the use of software-based design packages?
Thought not.
It’s about communication
It’s our job to help you communicate effectively with your target market. So give us your ideas about direction and outcome, and any slogans and taglines that you may already have. We’ll come up with a product reflecting your brand personality and brand values that speaks to your target market. We design in-house, and we’re also a graphic design reseller, which means we also sell on work produced by other graphic designers.
It’s a wonderful world
We aim to show you a seamless end product, but typically a great deal of thought and refinement has taken place behind the scenes as we settle on the most persuasive colours, images, graphics and typeface for your business or corporate needs. We’ll also be actively working to make sure the white space on your web pages or brochure is helping to keep your reader focused.
Value for money
You may think you can knock up a logo design or flyers yourself, and you can, and they may even look nice. However, a talented graphic design team can make sure your marketing material is not only visually appealing, but is cost-effective, and targeted to your particular audience. It’s as much about the content as the look, and professional advice and experience can be valuable indeed.
